What would be cause: Sat, phone, Bluetooth, USB all not working?

I'm looking at an E platform LCI car that is listed for cheap, and that I think I could get for even cheaper, but with none of the above working according to seller. Do these problems point to a common issue that is easily/cheaply fixed, or could be one of many problems and $$$ to address? Nothing I'm looking seriously at, but could be a nice car for the kids if this could be fixed.
Thanks, team!

Sounds like faulty MULF/TCU module(s) or a broken wire or disconnected harness somewhere, but most certainly MULF/TCU related. There are numerous combinations BMW used on these cars and I don't know what module or modules they used and when. For example I thought all top-spec LCIs had a combox, but my brother's mearly-max-spex 2011 335d (m-sport, premium, cold weather, CIC iDrive, comfort access) does not have a combox

They're cheap at the salvage yards and coding is relatively easy. But they're also located in the trunk. If you check the car out, pull the bottom trunk liner and see if the little pocket where the modules are have any evidence of water damage.

OK, I was wondering if it all sounded related to one thing.

Moot point now as it's been sold. Someone hopefully can get it going!

Wouldn't it be funny if the problem was just that the battery hadn't been registered? That is as long as you hadn't already spent your life savings on everything else electronically.

Most of the time these things aren't that crazy complex. But dealer will charge you $2,000 to diagnose and fix what is a $30 used part.
