Do it! It was literally the very first mod I did on mine. Long before I knew how to take anything apart, work on anything etc…

Now with the 335i oil temp gague, I can tell you oil temp gauge is something I prefer much more. It would have been nice if they integrated the coolant temp and as you mentioned voltage, right on the cluster, but then again those are iintegrated into the secret menu. Just not convenient to pull up on display. Still miss my 1998 e39 540i. |

paid 200$ for the T° on N52 , you can simply code it, and it will work, you need to remember the scale, thats it. At the end it's useful to know when you can beat on it, and if the tstat or the pump fail. |

Mickey Mouse flange failed. Mercifully right as I pulled into a parking spot.
Waiting on a tow. Have the aluminum flange coming in Monday - wish it was this weekend, but, well. Failed under pressure so in addition to a mess everywhere I’ll need to bleed + refill my cooling system… People: If you haven’t changed yours yet, if it’s been a while and it’s plastic. Just change it!! Save yourself the hassle!!! Oh. And the new headlights came in. That was going to be the project this weekend. |

Just ticked over to 93,000 miles. Good news is a friend of mine has an extra Aluminum one! So that’s the project for tomorrow! And the new headlights, of course. Hopefully the plastic is all contained between the two pieces that split. Anyone have any ideas on if the coolant that spilt onto the (brand new) belt will be fine? Or if not, what to clean it off with? Just water? Last edited by Hoody007; Yesterday at 07:11 PM.. |

Interesting, that's relatively young/low mileage in my opinion. Bummer it happened, but could have been worse!
