BMW E90 Whirring noise
Hi, i'm trying to figure out what this noise could be. You can slightly hear it in the video. Doesn't come from engine bay, more so from under the car near the cat. It's a whirring but not a constant sound. If I coule describe it somehow, it would be like a pulsating sound. The noise occurs when cold and warm at idle. It's a N55. Thank you in advance!

Had a similar issue a while ago, I believe my exhaust camshaft was slightly out of time, although this could be caused by many different things. have you checked the codes? It’s a bit difficult to hear in the video, but the sound sounds very airy, so I would recommend maybe checking for vacuum or exhaust leaks first. It could potentially just be a misfire. Just check the little things first and see what you can diganose. Hope this helps
