Chassis Stabilization Malfunction
Rant: So I took my car to the dealership yesterday to get looked at for the third time. Regarding my "chassis stabilization malfunctionwarning" and 4x4, e brake, DTC warning lights coming on everytime i hit a bump or pothole on the highway. Yesterday when i was at the dealership they had me take the shop foreman for a ride so i could show him when it happens. First he told me when i am on the highway i shouldnt be driving in drive sport as this may be causing the issue. When we got back he asked me if the wheels i had (193m wheels) came with the car. I told him no however, they come stock on the 335 m sport. He opened my door and showed me the sticker showing the tires sizes and that it only showed 17"s. Long story short, they had the car all day yesterday and today, called my service adviser to find out what the status was and he said, "were still working on it but most likely its the bigger wheels and low profile tires" throwing this code" In my opinion thats bs, im running the 18"s with stock tire sizes that come on the m sport, with x drive. I feel like they are just using the m wheels as an excuse to avoid diagnosing the problem. I heard x drive models have had issues with transfer case and servo motors. what do you guys think?

Me too! "4x4! Chassis Stabilization. Drive Moderatly"
I had the same problem tonight. I'm running the stock wheels and tires on a 2012 550iX with M-sport package.
Anyone got any ideas on this one? BTW -- this is BS. Second time in <3 months I've had a crazy warning light issue.

The first piece of info that would be helpful is the actual error codes that are in the DSC module. Can be anything from the transfer case motor to the stabilizer sensor on your swaybar to the steering angle sensor (which is very common). There is a DIY on here where you can take it out, reflow the solder connections, and clean the optical disk.

I had this light in too. Took it to the dealer they told me I needed a new intelligent battery sensor. 500 dollars job I declined the job. I’m going to take it somewhere else to get a different opinion.
