Question e90 320D sudden loss of power 2nd and 3rd gear

All,

mine is a 320D with a turbo, done 140K miles, so far car pulls very good specially in 2nd and 3rd gear when the turbo kicks in just after 2000 rpm, but this morning I noticed power loss in 2nd and 3rd gears after 2000 rpm which is very worrying. I stopped the car lifted the hood to see if there is anything burning, nothing. In idle I can rev up to 4000 plus rpm and it seems perfectly fine. I checked if the calipers were jammed by touching the alloys, all OK. No engine management lights too. So really confused and worried as what could be causing the sudden drop of power. In 2nd and 3rd gears the car seems like struggling to hit high speeds. Could this be my worst nightmare, blown turbo? or could be something less complex? please help. Thanks.
