Installing replacement OEM stereo

'07 335xi auto, 150K miles. Option 677 - Hifi System Professional.

The stereo works fine except the display is shot. I am ordering a used replacement dash unit with a good display. Once it's physically installed, what do I need to do as far as coding it to the VIN, etc.? Can I do it with BimmerGeeks ProTool, or do I need to use ISTA, etc.?

Actually, I'm finding I'm not sure what part numbers will work for my car. Realoem gave me a set of part numbers, and I'm not finding any of those on eBay so far, but I am finding a zillion listings with different part numbers that look the same and come from a variety of E9x, including '07 335xi. Will they work if they look the same? How can I determine what will work?
