Clutch Pedal Became Stiff while bleeding. What happened?

Was bleeding the clutch after the transmission swap. It was pumping normal and suddenly became stiff.
The fluid flows through the bleed valve.

Any ideas what happened?

no. Gravity bled and then pumped.

Oh ok then that's the issue I think. Can't bleed it without a power bleeder.
