Hot Terminal 30g Relay E91 325xi 2007
Hello, I have a 2007 Petrol 325xi E91
In 2023 I had massive problems with electric power in my car. In certain random moments it was stopping and starting. Sometimes it went dead for hours. I have changed the B+ end of the cable, everything is written here: E91 Loses power and dies randomly even after replaced fuse box Sometimes my car randomly switches off the same way, for a very short time, like 0.5 seconds, but the cable and fuse box are completely intact. For the last few weeks it does this random flash very often. This morning the car made the same problem, but it flashed like 3-4 times, i got scared, parked it, opened the glove compartment and checked all the fuses. Everything looked fine, but the 30g Terminal Relay was very hot. I have ordered a new one and I will replace it when the part arrive. The OEM code is 61 36 6 901 469. Is it safe to change such a relay or it is just plug n play? I sprayed all the fuses with contact fluid. |

I have replaced the Terminal 30g relay. The new one is also getting very very hot after 30 minutes of working. I guess next step is to measure the current going to this particular relay. I don't know how to do that, but i'll find the answer in this forums.
