How to turn idrive off
Sorry if it has been asked before. I search for it but nothing came up.
So, I finally got some time off the clean the car and I am very careful not to disturb the controls while cleaning around the dashboard and center console because the car wakes eveytime I touch anything. Today I was sick and tired of the car coming on by just a wipe down. Is there a way to prevent this? |

That’s what I thought. There has to be something else. On one ocassion I left the car open and sitting there while I eat and talk to a neighbor. Power cut off somehow because softclosing stopped, seat controls stopped, interior lighting stopped (I was freaking out). It wasn’t until I pressed the start button that it all came back. Maybe keeping the key on the other side of the house?

GTTC,
Try pressing/holding the volume control knob. In my 2025 M4, it shuts the dash and radio down. Semper Fi |

GTTC is correct, press and hold the volume button below the AC controls until the screen shuts down.
