LDM: Control unit: internal fault

Is your DSC light on, or cruise control not working? LDM stands for "Longitudinal Dynamics Management," which is an excessively complicated way of saying "Cruise Control." It's the interface between your command at the button and the engine.

Later models no longer use LDM if they don't have Active cruise control. They added a software update to DSC to handle all of the functions, but if you do have Active cruise control, you definitely have the LDM module.

Nope only when I turn it off other than that the cruise control works

I wouldn't worry about it then. Clear the code and see if it comes back later.

No problem. When I scan my car, sometimes I find errors like that too. I think some are just normal. There were some I had about internal faults with random things, and even some saying my wheel speed sensor couldn't communicate - but I had no issues come up on the dashboard. It's an electronically difficult environment with varying electrical noise, vibrations, corrosion, heat cycles, and all sorts of other things, so some very robust fault tolerance is all built in.

Yea like the wheel tolerance failure code that's always there which I think it's a speed sensor but it doesn't warn me

Question about error 62D4 on LDM module (when trying to engage cruise control) due to increase of rear tyres profile from factory 30% to 35% on 19" wheels.
Car is 2005 330i e90 . I had the same tyre profile increase on a 2007 without any issues.
Any idea how to code this issue out either update the tyre profile setup or disable so cruise control can work again ?
FYI car has regular cruise control not ACC.
