335D - 4590 Rail pressure plausibility volume-controlled
Hi there,
I'm experiencing an issue with my BMW E90 335d. While driving, my car suddenly shuts down, and I can't quite figure out why. My mechanic suggested it might be caused by the rail sensors, so I replaced them with DRV30 sensors, but it didn’t help. I also replaced both the front and rear sensors on the common rail system, but that didn’t solve the problem either. After further investigation, my mechanic found an issue with the wiring located behind the common rail, which he fixed. However, the problem reoccurred, so I decided to change my diesel filter, thinking it could be the cause. After replacing it, things improved, but occasionally, during hard braking or acceleration, the issue has happened twice again, though it’s much less frequent. I also noticed a 4590 error code when this happens, and now I hear a buzzing noise coming from the low-pressure fuel pump under the fuel tank. I’m starting to suspect the fuel pump might be the cause. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Or any Recommendation?
