I've been wanting to install this from the day I bought my car but wanted to make sure I had most of the maintenance items out of the way first. Scheduled for delivery Wednesday!
I would love to see pictures of the carbon fiber spoiler when you have it installed. Thinking about installing one on my
2011 E90 335.
Thanks

Hope that helps!

Does anyone know how to reset the pinch protection/limit on the windows? If I auto up then it triggers pinch at the top amd retracts it to half open on that passs rear window.

Can you share some pics of your 2011 335i? Maybe I can get some inspiration.

Thanks

I was lucky to find a M Sport and Performance Edition model. I had the front bumper and hood repainted. Sapphire Black Metallic looks fantastic when it’s new.

Had to run the window up and unplug the motor, then plug back in.
then it was able to reset the limits using the 15 second hold up amd 15 second hold down procedure.
Otherwise it was a no go.

I have the same wheels on a saphire black on black 335. I love your steering wheel. I really want one. I know the wheel is one of the most underrated mods you can do to change the drivability of a car. Such an overlooked mod.

Passed the smog check today. Had to install the stock cat back on, a new OE diverter valve (not too pleasant of a job), installed stock intercooler and charge pipes. Also, my battery died a week before, but it looks like it had an incorrect capacity for this car (70Ah, 335i's should come with 90Ah).
And I also replaced the radiator and MM flange, and installed a new to me oil filter housing. I previously had a housing with oil thermostat, and it kept leaking from unidentifiable spot even though I replaced all the gaskets, so I just installed a housing just like on my 328i and non-sport package 335i's.
P.S. I was poopooing VRSF downpipes, but as it turned out, I actually had a CTS Turbo dp. doesn't mean VRSF products are great, though, I massively dislike that their heavy intercooler is held only by 2 screws going into soft plastic.
Also, does anybody know if "suitcase" mufflers are the same for all 335i's, both for n54 and n55? are e90 and e92 mufflers interchangeable?

Today (well yesterday) I ripped out all the old immobiliser wiring, and any other aftermarket wiring I could find. I have a very recent jap import so getting hold of English manuals for the kits fitted was proving to be difficult. I’m sure there is some useful stuff in the parts I’ve removed

I was parking in front of my house and made a quick U-turn. The side of the road is all wet leaves, causing the front end to slide into the curb and scrape the wheel. Not much, just enough slip to put the wheel into the curb. Now there's a nice little 4" strip of freshly shaved aluminum on the edge of my wheel.

Yes; I've had a super slow leak forever. Had to top off about every 3 years. The past 2 years I've started smelling it badly in the cabin (not a moldy smell, but a refrigerant smell.) Letting a smidge out of the low pressure port confirms that's the exact smell in the cabin. Pulling the dash trim out revealed oily residue all in the vents path (PAG oil).

I put some Avalanche stop leak in a little over a year ago which kept the level full until now and the smell and oil residue completely gone.

But now it started leaking out within a day. No idea if it's the evaporator finally leaking quickly or maybe I got a rock through the condenser or something.

SPOILER!

My ECS spoiler came in today, and I got it installed. Here are some pics for you guys: Name: 20241031_181038.jpg

I followed the ECS guide on how to install it. You clean the area with Isopropyl alcohol with a microfiber tool. This will likely strip any wax or paint protection. Line the spoiler up the best you can. DO NOT press it down till you are happy with it. This part was really frustrating and I still didn't get it completely aligned perfectly as you can see in the picture:Name: 20241031_181124.jpg

When you are happy, press it down the best you can on each side and the middle. I came back every few minutes and gave it a few more presses. I will be leaving mine overnight to help it seal. I think it looks really nice. Will get some better-quality photos to share when I can. I can't wait to experience my extra 20 horses

Changed my OG PCV flapper valve that’s been on for 122k miles. Old one was leaking from the middle seam and also dripped oil when I took it off - it was overdue. It also sounded like something was loose inside vs the new one.

Also installed new Sylvannia H8 LED’s for the angel eyes since the old ones (unsure of brand) dimmed on the passenger side.

I'm biased as I really like those small spoilers. They're kinda' subtle but add a lot visually. Plus definitely faster!
