What year car , Which BMW sound system , Which bmw head unit did it start out with? Do you know what options the came in the car .
See Mdecoder.com

What is the Model of the thing you installed .
Did it say it was compatible with a BMW . Did it have install instructions if it is.

There is and idrive sub forum here also .

Hi thanks for the response.

Its an 07 335i coupe with the oem speaker system and sub under the passenger seat and ap in back. Its has the ccc nav etc.

I replaced it with an android screen.

When i got the car it had the oem screen. But it kept on restarting bmw om screen.. so i hoped to replace it with an android i got my music back. But nothing. Whwn i got the car no back light of the dvd or cd radio even and no reaction. It only tries to restart every time.

I checked the optic cabel and made an loop by cutting the sat nav ou by installing rhe orange optic loop thing

. The amplifier is working ( orange light what means its oke) and cd changer was above the amplifier and also working.

But yet no sound only when i start the car i hear the oem bing bing ( low washer fluid) out of the speakers. But further nothing i instaled the android radio screen the right way seen alot vids and seller of radio says also that the cable is fitted oke.

What can i do to stil get music to play out of the radio speaker....

There are three oem sound systems
base, Hi Fi and Top Hi fi these are the speaker/amp combinations.
In the Untied States there are Two types of I drive
which one you have depends on the year of the car

Most of those piggyback systems use the Aux line to feed the stock system .
That means the Aux must be selected and the Aux line from the new unit must be feeding
the old system .
The old system should still work when the aux is not selected assuming that the old idrive is still intact.
Often the aux line does not come from the back of the Radio but from one of the modules in the Trunk area.
