Good places to cruise near DC/N VA?

I just got my new 330i and wanted to find some place to go for a cruise this morning. Any good areas in the northern Virginia area (near alexadria)?

Yes I would like to know too

Actually a drive out towards Charlestown W Virginia (Rt 9) to see the vineyards is pretty entertaining as I discovered recently. Quite generous speed limits in the twisty bits.

Clifton Road is good (as shim has advised me)... but you have to wait until there is no traffic...

The 495 beltway can be loads of fun!

I'd look for roads on the western side, in the hills.

But be ware of the 5-0. Just gotta drive up once to see if it's clear, and make a spirited return the other way.

Old Georgetown road through Great Falls was a lot of fun at our winter meet... That would be a good road depending on traffic...

I recommend Rt 20 (Constitution Hwy) down to Charlottesville. It's bad ass - no cops, nice and twisty, and the speed limits are pretty high anyway.

if you want a really scenic and twisty road with alot of surprises, i would definitely recommend rock creek parkway in DC. you can really test that 3 series suspension. i drive very frequently on the pkwy, and there are very few places cops can hide. i think the narrowness and the curviness of the road is a natural speed limiter, so i've never seen anybody get pulled over on this road.

I agree, rock creek, though a very short drive, has some interesting corners
