I thought MHD resets adaptations whenever you flash a tune? Been noticing inconsistent revs as well when leaving in first, both cold and warm I thought maybe it was a clutch issue.

meanwhile, I'm continuing to be my own "mhd", and decided to show my "ignition cut" shifting:

Has MHD given a follow up on development for MHD+ for n55e i really want that antilag/launch control feature and especially the map switching! It would be a godsend when switching between E85 and 93

I have not seen any further updates on Facebook or had any response to the logs I posted. However, I am sure they are working on it in the background.

why do you want to wait for MHD, though? aren't there any other people "messing" with these DMEs? MHD is not the only option to flash these DMEs, I'm using N55e Quickflash, which is cheaper btw than MHD's N55e flasher license and allows to write custom code from your tuner, not just a tune:
https://www.bimmertuningtools.com/pr...5e-quickflash/
And there're other options for logging like Vehical which is quite a bit faster and can log a lot more data points per second:
https://docs.vehical.net/logger_protocols
About the only option missing now is OTS maps, but your tuner can make these for you.
I get why people want to see map switch etc features from the MHD, though. They're pretty much the "gold standard" for the N54, and people expect them to be for the rest of the e9x platform engines like N55s. N55 is not an N54, though, and on the F-series platforms, many people actually prefer bm3 or ecutek. And I kind of get why nobody else is stepping in for N55e, you can spend all the time for the development and then people will be like "oh, but can you flash it using mhd".

Well, cost wise, going to a tuner to make you maps will cost you alot, plus the fact that the majority of good tuners don’t want to share their tunes like this. Imagine that anyone can use them, or you can share them with your friends etc and it’s like stealing money from their mouth.
Also, your option is for flashing maps, not switching maps on the fly…
Also, your tuner can make you a stage 2 map with antilag for example, another one without, another one with burble and antilag etc, so how many types of maps? In MHD you can only select them as an option, what you want, what you don’t want.

well, my tuner is myself, lol. I don't quite get what you mean when you say "one map with antilag, another one without". afaik, mhd+ features for the f chassis are not switched on or off based on the map selection.
as for "Also, your option is for flashing maps, not switching maps on the fly…" - there's no switching maps on the fly on N55e MHD, either, at least not yet, and timeline seems to be very wide, we haven't seen any video teasers with these features from them, only verbal announcements.
As for the tunes, many people choose to get custom tunes done, so "cost" is very subjective. And again, I'm not making an argument MHD vs Quickflash vs some other flasher here, I'm merely describing what I'm using, not saying you should all switch to it. Although they do have a commercial version which can "crypt" the tunes. "Good tuners" also know how to vin-lock their files so your friends will thank you bricked dmes, lol.
I think you kind of missed my point here, which is that N55e community got conditioned to ignore anything but MHD, even though they paid almost no attention to N55e for many years.

Very cool you are doing your own custom code. You should pair the ignition cut shifting with xHP trans tune to take full advantage if everthing on the engine side.

yeah, more torque reduction during the shift, more "shift brap" or "dsg fart'. This is probably going to be the last video of these braps for a while as I have to put the car back to stock for smog. I don't know when I put the downpipe back again, it was a PITA due to poor fitment (wrong flange size)

That brap sound is also achievable only via the torque reduction upshift setting in XHP or does it need to be in conjuction with the engine tune?

I'm not using xHP at all, this is stock 6hp. For 6hp vehicles, xHP settings will never produce any kind of "brap" sound. xHP might help a little bit, but it won't do it on its own. Engine software patch is actually more than sufficient, and as you can hear, the sound is noticeable (it's actually very loud IRL) on stock power 335i with DP

2012 E91 335i (N55):
I flashed MHD Stage 2 v2.00 last week. The tune is fine, although I didn't performed a datalog yet.

But, I was hoping that the cold start delete was improved.
I turned it off (separate short flash) and the first cold start was fine, but the day after it already started idling rough and stalled. I like the noise reduction, but it's sad that this option make the car running so rough on a cold start.
I can try some things like re-flashing, resetting adaptations, wait a couple of days. But on a older version of Stage 1 it also didn't really improve...
I guess this is still a problem on our N55e's?

By the way, xHP Stage 3 has throttle blips at shifting. I like that. Better than the DSG farts

Cold start is there for a reason. MHD doesnt actually put in any effort to modify the function to make it more quite but also run well, they just disable it…hence it runs like ass.

If most users are not satisfied with such a option, I would think they already removed it from the app..
Is raising the idle rpm a bit not a way to prevent stalling? Maybe there a MHD-users which found a way to make it work.

Interesting you are having stalling issues on 2.0.0 with noise reduction. I had the opposite and I always dealt eith stalls and bad running for the first starts after a flash or code clear before the beta maps. Now, the car starts up and is in a warm idle after like 2 seconds.

I don't really get this post. Is there really any question as to why MHD is great? It's very polished, excellent customer service, is super user friendly, oh - and it's proven and reliable.

I don't want to custom tune. I love this thing.

Yeah, I tried it, and the car ran like trash.

It's not that big a deal for me. I suppose if I were running aftermarket cat-back, it might be more obnoxious, but it's fine.

Based on your profile (2008 335xi), I assume you have an N54.
MHD is excellent for the N54, no doubt about it. I'm glad you're enjoying it. For e series N55s, we unfortunately didn't get any of these custom features they have provided for other platforms, nothing similar to f series N55. You don't want a custom tune or functions, that's fine, I do.

I like both just waiting for the Black Friday sale. And hopefully will get both dsg farts and downshift throttle blips, just like my B8 S4 did. If I could get that thing to run right, I wouldn't go to a great length to do "upshift braps" for my 335i. Maybe I wouldn;t even get a 335i
