Hi guys I’ve been wondering if it’s possible and worth it, buying a 7.5 aluminum intercooler fora a FBO 330d e90 m57?

The current specs are:

Downpipe 3.5” + straight pipe 3”
EGR OFF
REMAP

And I wanted to upgrade to a bigger IC, and I found this 7.5 intercoolers used in 335i’s are kinda cheap and they look like a Wagner ego 3 in size.

Any advise if this would work?

Way down on the mod list for just a vehicle with a simple remap. Better things to spend your money on.

I need to buy a new or used intercooler since mine leaks. So the price of this one use pretty interesting! So I wanted to know if there is any downside using this intercooler.

Might lose a bit of throttle response, but that's about it.

Oh okay, that was my doubt if I would had too much lag, but since it’s a diesel 3l the throttle reponse ain’t that great anyway. So if there no more other problems I think I’m getting one. Thank you for your prompt reponse!

Do you know if this universal intercoolers would fit in? I only see e46 and e39 with them, but not in the e90’s.

Should fit, but you'll need to figure out how to change from the clip connectors to tbolts or similar.

Yes but my welder would figure it out but my doubt are the pipes and the curves if they would fit, I will do a fog light delete also will win some more space to the sides . This is my front, wanted to cover the middle hole with all the intercooler surface.

When my dad upgraded his intercooler I believe he used this one (if not looks similar and may have been from ebay)

Hated to do this as ATM as he is a great participant, but I bought an eBay stepped intercooler cooler copy several years ago and it works OK. I have a ton of respect for the company that he has built. It took a little more b******t to get it aligned.
