But even then.... spinning in the formation lap can happen, other drivers have done that too, especially in these wet conditions and with a hastily rebuild car... But driving into the gravel on purpose...that is just a blow in the face to the whole team who have worked really hard (hundreds of people) not to mention all the sponsors! From what I've heard, there's a big spectator stand at that corner where stroll spun out, is that all the spectators were yelling "Drugovich....Drugovich". Felipe Drugovich is of course AMR's reserve driver and he's brazilian I just can't imagine Stroll not knowing there's a drive around at that gravel pit. Pretty much all tracks are designed like that nowadays. I can see some orange crash cushions standing on that drive around, but I don't think it's blocked off. I still think it's a really strange situation. If Stroll drove into the gravel pit on purpose that would be extremely childish. There are some silences in the radio traffic in the clip so I'm not sure what was said in those moments...

I can imagine Hammy finishing 10th, but the same time RUS battles in front.
They say rain is the great equalizer....

Not sure how many of you saw Hamilton drive Senna’s McLaren MP4 but my god that V10 sounded glorious. It a shame we have to listen to these V6 turbo hybrid’s and will be even worse with the 26 spec.

Collectively Max’s is still better since he beat down drivers with more overall titles. Lewis also lost to some of the worst of them. Imagine losing to Rosberg or Button, or Kimi when you had a faster car. Similar to 2021 where he couldn’t get it done in the fastest car, a bit of help from the Fia letting penalties slip, and even a few purposeful crashes by him and Bottas.

This one is still hilarious to me. Ros was never very good. That’s basically like being up 3-0 in the World Series and 1 out away from a sweep and then getting completed housed and losing the next 4 games in utter disgrace because you couldn’t get the job done.

Of course Max also raced Vettel, Alonso and Rosberg.
All world champions too at some time. I'm a huge Senna fan, but objectively seen I think Max is even better. I think a lot of current drivers are better than drivers back then when it comes to pure performance and consistency if you compare data of F1 drivers now to F1 drivers back then. F1 has grown much more professionally (all of motorsports have), drivers start at a much younger age, also in simulators etc etc. But the big question is how good would Senna have been if he was born in 1997, or how good would Max have been if he was born in 1960. That's something we'll never know.

That's impossible mate . De drivers are tested , drug (dope-doping) tested ..
Just like MAX . MAX is been tested already twice in this season and unannounced (!) Once he was tested very early in the morning , MAX wasn't awake yet . And once just after a race . But in the past . Yes . Some drivers took Amphetamines (!) Amphetamines means : No fear, extreme concentration like an eagle and reaction times like lighting. And of course , it gives you b@lls of steal.. Today .If they catch you , you can say goodbye to your F1 license ..

I consider myself fortunate to meet, chat to him for a little while and have a picture taken with Bruno Senna, Ayrtons' nephew, this year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as he was representing McLaren at the venue, very chill and down to earth. Very friendly guy. |
