335d zero-quantity issues
Hey all,
I've done about 30 minutes of research to figure things out. A couple of quick stats: 2011 335d 98k miles carbon cleaning done at 80k miles EGR delete (all emissions) and tune from a local specialty BMW shop Swirl flap delete I have been getting mostly cylinder 5 zero quantity adaptation codes since the tune (sometimes cylinder 1), but it could be completely coincidental that it was the actual tune? My shop says that the tune, which is conservative, could have exposed the fact the injectors were probably on their way out, but I don't really have any physical symptoms. No rough idle, shuttering, etc. The car drives completely fine. I reset adaptations immediately after the tune and do it intermittently when I try to clear the codes. I read that faulty thermostats can sometimes cause the zero-quantity code? I just ran my Foxwell today with the car for about 20 mins and the coolant temps never got over 75 Celsius (and its about 75 degrees F ambient today). Any thoughts? I really don't want to replace 2 injectors if that truly isn't the issue. Last edited by willworkforsushi; Today at 12:08 PM.. |

Do that and report back. If the issue follows the injector it needs replacement.
