2008 335xi Auto - Transmission issues
Hey Everyone!! I got a friend that is having issues with his 335 slipping and being slow to shift under light load. I've been reading alot about the mechatronics solenoids and sleeves, but don't want to be a parts replacer without understanding/troubleshooting the issue first. Any one have any input based on the clutch values:

While there's no definitive answer possible, I would recommend a full mechatronic rebuild. This certainly COULD fix this issue if it's a problem with the seals and/or solenoids, but there's not really any way to tell without doing it. Buying the pan/fluid/seals/solenoids will probably set you back $400-$500 (before labor), but that's a drop in the bucket when it comes to a transmission-out-of-the-car repair, which is what you're hoping desperately to avoid.
Just my $0.02 - also as someone who is currently dealing with a very similar situation on my x5 with the same transmission.

If trans slip is happening due to clutches those fluids are your best shot at avoiding a rebuild. I’m running both of those right now and the transmission feels very smooth |
