I have an 08 335i with factory oil cooler. I just changed my oil for the first time and it was very easy to do. Question about capacity. I thought the car took 7 qts but I only drained out about 6.5 qts (oil change done at 500 miles). I refilled with 6.5 qts and the idrive oil level indicator says oil level ok and the bar graph shows the oil level at the max line but it looks like the bar graph can go further to the right past the max line. Am I reading it correctly? I drained it while hot and lowered the car so it did not drain with the front end in the air. How accurate is the oil level indicator. I wish the car had a dip stick.

even if u filled it with 7 quartz, the bar graph still shows at max line, i used to fill mine with 7 quartz and 6.5 this past monday, it shows at the same spot
