I just got a massive misfire code: "29D1, Combustion misfires, Cyl 5", and changed to a new coil for cylinder #5 (#1 is at front of the engine V6 of 2008 528i). No problem at beginning but rough in idle after driving 60 miles, and "2E1C, Firing, cylinder 5" appeared. It turned out that the harness to coil connection was loose due to the cracked clamp. Push in the harness fully and replace with a new clamp. Hope that might be the only cause of the misfires, as the car was free from misfires a about two years.

I have the same problem, tomorrow I will try to change the sensor. Did you have a strange smell of gasoline while driving until you solved the problem? I'm reading about your problem and it's like I wrote, everything is identical, there's nothing I haven't tried and I sincerely hope that it will solve the problem. |
