Is there a good amount of people that swap the N55 for the N54 or no

N55 engine swap?

I asked the same question when my first n54 spun a rod if anybody swapped a n55 instead of the N54 since its supposed to be more "reliable"

I’m currently swapping a new n55 into my e92 and I’ve noticed a small red pin like item behind the flywheel. And as clumsy as I am I went ahead and pushed it in. Now I’m wondering if that was something that wasn’t supposed to be pushed in. Can someone lmk if I can leave it like that or if I have to fix it?
