2009 328i - How difficult is it to replace oil pan gasket?

Took my 2009 328 for an inspection and was told the oil pan gasket has a small leak. My independent mechanic says it’s about 6 hours of labor which sounds a bit daunting to do myself… is it that hard? I’d rather save the money of course and am pretty good with other maintenance… just don’t want to get stuck in some project if I’m better off paying the pro to do it.

It's not hard just time consuming. You have to remove the front subfrrame (or lowering it, not my recommendation)

Are there any really comprehensive write ups on doing it? I’ve found a few but they seems to have a few details missing or maybe aren’t the best way of doing it.

Thanks! Do you happen to know if the seal for the oil level sensor exists on 2009 cars? Seems like the instructions mention that but I don’t see it as a recommended part on FCP Euro. I see the oil pressure switch but am not sure if that’s the same thing / comes with the seal that’s mentioned in the write ups.
