I am looking at buying a pair of carbon fiber M style mirror caps for my 09 328xi coupe. What is a reasonable price to pay? Links are appreciated.

Either buy direct from Aliexpress (just search BMW E90 mirror cap) make sure you are looking at one that are for your car (LCI vs. Pre-LCI)

Or do the same search on Amazon or eBay.
If you can wait, then Aliexpress is the cheapest around $28 USD.

What makes you think it's real carbon fiber? Of course it is not real. The whole idea of carbon fiber is to reduce weight while maintaining stability.
For a mirror cap to cost hundreds is really not worth it. Either go for the fake carbon fiber look or get the painted one that has the M3 style/shape.

I think $100 sounds reasonable for new, aftermarket carbon fiber. And there might be real carbon fiber products available directly from China. But I'd double-check. Read feedback. Contact buyer and make sure you're getting carbon fiber instead of "carbon fiber look" products. The latter sounds like vinyl wrap over plastic.

And make sure you get what you're looking for (duh ). Some of the caps are simply caps which you double-stick on top of your existing caps. Great, if that's what you want.

But if you're looking for replacement caps, ones that mount directly to the mirror assembly, look closely at pics and read descriptions/instructions to confirm they are replacement parts.
