Diagnosing Turbos
I have an e92, built motor, twin disc clutch, upgraded franken turbos etc etc. There's zero boost. Only code I get is 2abd (boost pressure sensor overrun). No smoke or such. I have another pair to swap, but any recommendations to diagnose these before swapping?
Thanks in advance. |

Before doing anything to the turbos:
Check vacuum lines to the turbos, check with vacuum, do the lines hold vacuum? Do the wastegates move? Check all lines. Check the vacuum regulators - connected? Check tmap sensor. Check for bookstleak, all pipes and clamps connected and torqued down? You can also check for play inside the turbines (from downpipe) if there is any play. But honestly if there is zero pressure its the vacuum lines, actuators or the tmap. |
