If you're going to fork over that much for a Genuine, might as well get CSF all aluminum for the same price with FCP warranty (just for the upgrade and cool factor)

Actually, the CSF radiator is $120 more expensive than the genuine one for my car at least. Considering I never track the car and that the upgraded one isn't going to affect oil temps, I think the $120 could be better spent elsewhere. My original radiator lasted 103k so I doubt I will own this car when it fails again. Still haven't ordered it yet, so If I get a lot more people saying to buy the CSF one then maybe I'll consider it again.

The expansion tank was replaced 4k miles ago. I actually replaced the expansion tank hose about 2 hours ago because I broke it when doing belts and pulleys.

This. BEHR SUCKS. I went through two, one year apart before I got the hint. Dropped in a CSF all aluminum and will never have to worry about it again. Interestingly enough, the 330 its in warms up 2x quicker than the 328 with an OEM style radiator. With that being said it does cool effectively on spirited drives

But do you think it would be worth spending an extra $120 just for lower cooling temps during spirited driving? Besides the fact that it will last forever.

If you plan on selling the car soon and it's just a daily, no. If this is a car you'll be having for awhile, absolutely 100%.

Hmm. Hard questions. This car is my daily and I don't plan on selling it for at least 2-4 years, but my original radiator lasted 13 years and 103k miles so.....Maybe I can find a black Friday deal on the CSF one.

After my experience with BEHR, I decided the third time putting a radiator in was going to be my last. And if the one on my 328 fails (it was replaced a couple years ago by previous owner) I will be putting an all aluminum in that one as well

Your convincing me I'm going to look for a deal on the CSF radiator. I've heard that the genuine BMW radiator and the BEHR radiator are different, even though it is OEM.

StradaRedlands Just replaced both Vanos check valves proactively on the 2006 @ 107k miles. Removed them from above with a T40, 1”+3” extensions and lighted inspection mirror. Would have been easier going through the wheel well, but at least I didn’t have to remove anything for access.

Here’s how they looked without any cleaning. The Vanos solenoids were replaced 6k miles ago. Those solenoids looked clean too, but the car ran much better after they were replaced.

I found a deal on the CSF radiator for $500 including tax and free shipping from Turner Motorsports. This would be $70 more than the Genuine one including tax. What do you think guys? Should I do it?

Knocked off some Miles in the Mtns

Turned over 19k on the odometer this weekend bombing in and around the GSMNP. Snapshot here alongside the Little River on the Townsend Entrance Rd. Have knocked off a little over 9k miles since July digging this '09 E92. This car is such a blast to drive. Cheers all

All aluminum vs plastic, to me is worth the $70, assuming it is a direct fit?

after market are as good, like nissen. For me it's 100$cad VS 700$cad+ customs.

I will change it 2 times for the life time of the car. And they dont tend to explode, but leak, so should not left me stuck.

Behr had a bad batch in 2020-2021 that were failling within a year. I was a victim of this. Ended up getting a Nissens rad under warranty for the leaking Behr.

I would assume Behr would have addressed this issue as they must have been flooded with warranty returns.

CSF is without a doubt a great upgrade, and if you're planning on buying an OE part that costs the same as CSF rad, then all aluminum is the way to go.
For us Canadians, the price just doesn't make sense after taxes, duties, shipping, conversion rate. USA folks don't realize how lucky you guys are when it comes to car parts.

If you're not going to keep this car for the next 4 years then don't bother.

Been looking around for a way to keep my e92 key fobs around at better charge. Seen some info out there but seeing if you guys figured out a smart(er) way to achieve it? Don’t mind getting a second key slot and wire up at 12v if not too difficult.

Cheers, and thank you!
