n53 exhast sensors?

n53b3a
So there are 2 pre cat and 2 post-cats cat, I saw one also after the 2 banks merged into one exhaust.
What is that called or what does it do?
I have a hole between it and the 2 post cat sensors, wondered would mess with a reading of the last single sensor.

That would be the nox sensor. A hole in the exchaust would make a mess for sure.

You'll probably have the "0x30DE correletion" error code, which (I think) means that the nox sensor has a different lambda reading than your lambdas. And that would lead to the engine not running in "stratified charge" mode, which is the most fuel efficient engine operating mode. Would recommend you check out bimmer-profs website for more info on this, and how to make your engine run smooth.
