So trans service, diff service are past due. Do those first along with vac lines, pressure convertors, etc if they haven't been done. Then worry about power adders.

I want to find a full exhaust kit to delete dpf and scr, and i think i have a good link to buy swirl flap delete but not one for egr delete. I have a friend who owns a shop and is a master bmw tech so i can do the labor myself i just dont know what to buy and where to start. i dont want to spend too much money (3-3.5 thousand dollars) including a tune. i want to gain a good bit of power but i dont want to sacrifice reliability or too much gas mileage. i was looking at the jr stage 2 race tune but idk what to do to the car to get that tune(it’s bone stock).

swirl flap link i think is decent: https://www.cascadegerman.com/produc...t-335d-x5-35d/

but honestly have no idea what else to buy, please help.
looking to gain maybe 100hp and 100-150 lb ft
I've built about 6 of these so far, the best tune for money is Kassel's stage 2. That will absolutely meet those power goals.

You can do a full delete for anywhere from nearly free to spending $1500 on a downpipe alone.

My suggestion, VSRF DP, Bimmertune EGR Kit, Aliexpress swirl flap delete plates (they come with viton o-rings now), gut SCR, remote flash Kassel Tune. Enjoy.

Just chiming in here. Don't waste your money on full exhaust systems if you want to retain the stock look. Just get a DP and then have a muffler shop cut off your SCR catalyst and weld this in place. Honestly, don't waste your time gutting shit, just do this.

Does the VSRF DP fit well now? i hear that it was to long. Also i was thinking of gutting the SCR myself, blocking off egr and keeping stock mufflers. is this a good idea?

My dad had one connected to the ATM exhaust and it fit perfectly, he later swapped it to the catted DP from ATM to reduce the smell.

You should just do what I said several posts ago.

Yes use the VRSF DP.
