zaino Z-8 vs FK1 #425

hey guys i was about to order some more #425 but my friend was telling me how great the zaino Z-8 stuff is.

when i was looking into it, it says its s sealant?

i use #425 almost everytime after i wash my car, give it a nice shine and slickness and also adds some protection.

what exactly does the Z-8 offer over the #425, protection?

how they compare and differ?

thanks alot

I personally don't think there is a better QD out there compared to #425. Its extremely versatile, easy to use and works the best.

z8 is not a QD, it is a gloss and protectant booster and should only be used on a freshly cleaned car, z6 is zaino's QD.

i've used z8 and find it very nice, friends who rarely comment on my always clean car in the past are saying how good it looks when i use z8.

+1. Z8 is not Zainos QD, that would be Z6. Z8 is more of a spray on sealant / sealant booster.

Z8 is the sorta the equivalent of Finish Kare's FX-100 ultra spray glaze/sealant.

FK-425 is a pure QD.

You should generally use a product like Z8 or FX-100 after you wash your car every weekly to refresh your sealed paint. Fk-425, you can use it however you like, but I generally am not a fan of QD'ing a car that has been driven more than a few miles. The 425 gives a little "pop" to the paint and restores slickness. If used in conjunction with the FX-100, it will keep your paint looking fresh and feeling slick for a while until you reseal and apply your LSP.

i dont like Fx-100 because it has to dry and buff away and what not. the Z-8 was very easy to use, that the only reason i am comparing.

just didnt really did get what it did.

so is a sealant like a wax?

i have about 15k miles on my car and i owned it for about 15 months now, i wash it up tp 2 times a week and its garage kept.

i have never calyed, polished or waxed my car, a couple months ago bmw said they gave me a detail to my car, polish or wax or w.e. they did. they even were kind enough to give me some machine marks up and down on my hood

anyways, which do you guys recommened more?

i have been using megauirs ult. QD for a while now, but i feel as if the zaino z-8 can do more then just a QD, it can protect, give shine and what not, something that QD cant do? or am i mistaken.

so which gives a better shine?
provides more protection?

the advantage of a QD is it 'can' be used to clean a lightly soiled car - although i never use a QD for that purpose b/c i never was able to avoid marring. most QD, along w/ cleaning, will provide a bit of gloss and protection.

now, if you are looking for a product to add gloss and protection (and not clean) then you'll get better results by not using a QD and z8 is an excellent option. but there are others on the market that you can research / try out for yourself, i've heard good things about duragloss aquawax and chemical guys speed wax and shine.

problem is, along w/ cleaning, the 425 will leave a gloss on the paint. if you use z8 on top of this freshly applied 425 gloss they could mix together and cause adverse effects.

Use z8 with zaino. It's made to work with their sealants, so I wouldn't use it If you have any other sort of wax/sealant on the car. When I used to use zaino, I would do z8 every other wash and z6 after every wash I didn't use z8 on. 425 on the other Han is made to work with any lsp, be it a sealant or wax. But if you use 425 alone I don't think it's effects will last more than a day or so.
