Clunk after transmission service
I performed a trans service on my e92 335i. Replaced seals, solenoids, and valve body in hopes of fixing my slipping box.
After the service, the car started making this clunk noise only when shifting into D. This wasn’t happening before. video It is associated with a slight jolt forward and I think it gets worse as the transmission gets warmer. Any ideas? Thanks |

Also, about 3 of the 6k I put on were highway miles when I took the car to Key West Also, it doesn’t clunk when the car is cold. Last edited by erikg757; 12-12-2024 at 05:37 PM.. |

Did you loosen the trans support and not tighten it, maybe ? how are the trans. bushings?
You topped it off with the car level, running and between 30-50 celsius? When I did mine I ended-up putting about 8 quarts in. Maybe the exhaust bracket is hitting something or loose? Good luck. |
