Just installed my afe

Wow...that is all I have to say....went from an HVI intake to this and dam the difference is night and day, throttle response is much better and the car just seems to react better, there was a nice increase in power and I think this intake was well thought out, I just installed the oiled version (filters are blue) Would highly recommend this to anyone else...Have to thank Joe at trinityautosports.com service was prompt and he was very patient with all my questions and concerns with buying from a new vendor and the price was perfect 319.00 shipped to my door thank you joe!

I just installed mine today; and just like you, got it from Joe . Did you notice a difference in sound? I'm not hearing the same sssssssssss that I got from the HVI; however, though I didn't get to fully test the AFE after the install, it did seem to pull a bit harder. BTW, even though the sssssss is softer, there is definitely a lot more growl from the engine bay. Do you hear that?

I def hear more of the growl, i installed mine today also and I have the Jb3 installed........if you have music on, you will not hear any ssssssssss, but def more growl and the low end has more grunt and the top end seems to breath alot easier and pulls harder to redline........

I agree on the the top-end, my 50-80 seemed effortless. I'm so jealous that you have a JB3....

Installed mine last night. It was raining so I have yet to really push it. The difference in throttle response over stock is noticable instantly. At idle and under casual driving there is no difference in sound to me. Install was easy and the kit includes everything ya need.

The HVI is a decent intake...and for the rock bottom prices its going for its not too bad..Is the afe better? Yes. but the HVI served its purpose..You will not get the same sound as the HVI...which had a noticeable whoosh sound but the power delivery is better in the afe, it just feels like this intake was made for the car...its not a generic mold intake.the car feels better and responds better...oh and anyone in the dallas or fort worth area need any help in installing it let me know it was really easy but i could help out

I just installed the aFe. I had the Logic before and kind of disappointed with the sssss sound on the aFe, it's not anywhere near as loud as the HVI was.

Other then just that, the aFe intake has crisp throttle response on the low-end, and smooth linear power up to redline.

I may consider a AA bov, just because I miss the hiss sound now
