I'm sorry I was not. I had tested some designs with the switch but was not comfortable leaving it because of the heat cycles' effects on it. Plus, I did not want the effect of having the switch in the incorrect position, which would leave the device on all the time. This would mess up the fuel trims. The risk to the car was too great, in my opinion. That is why I kept it with the dial. The dial could be set to the 1 o'clock position which would be considered a bypass. But I recommend removing the device. If you have any questions please let me know.
