Reconnecting lower radiator hose on e93
Hello! I just recently replaced my radiator and when re assembling everything I made sure I got the “click” when connecting the lower radiator hose on the passenger side.
I decided to roll into some boost after a successful test drive and well it popped off.. the clamp is still on the end of the hose I was just wondering if there’s a trick to getting it back on without taking the car apart again |

I had something similar with the thermostat hose. It held fine for 200 miles and then decided to pop off. When reinstalling, I used a bit of clear plumbers silicon grease on the O-rind in the hose connector and it slid all the way easily (after struggling with it for half an hour). I read a lot of conflicting suggestions on what to use to grease coolant connections, so take the plumbers grease recommendation with a grain of salt.
Can't help you with easy access without disassembly, though. I learned that there are no shortcuts when working on cars, and it's almost always worth it to bite the bullet and do the proper disassembly steps to get to the part. |
