help with FCP math
Does this make sense, I bought a oil filter from FCP. I used it and was going to return it for a credit for a new one.
I have to buy the new one first. Shipping is 6.99 to me then I have to pay for shipping the old one back. Assumeing shipping is 6.99 to send it back, thats $14 in shipping cost. I can go to Rockauto and get it delivered to my door for $16. All that to save $2.00 Is there something i'm missing here? |

I think it barely makes sense to do it for my oil but my oil change kit through FCP is like $106. I pay about $18 to ship it back. I've done this about 4 times. I honestly almost feel like I'm taking advantage of them but they do advertise it and encourage people to do so. I've saved about $300 so far and will continue to save each time. If I only returned my oil filter, obviously that would make no sense. I love RockAuto and there's certainly times where they are the better buy, you just have to think about what makes the most sense for each particular purchase. |
