get the 335i and get a set of 17" wheels and blizzaks (PM zoeb for the wheels).

I did that last season and my 335 was a TANK in the snow.

Blizzaks work really well, Get yourself a dedicated snow set, and try to stick with a narrow size (225's or even 215's)

Your car will perform great in the snow with a full on winter tire setup.
