Hi...I have 2008 3 Series Estate (2.0 D). The retractable parcel shelf weld has a stated to separate along the edge, leaving the 'card' exposed.

I have tried to glue the edge with a 2-part epoxy glue. I didn't last long before separating again.

Any suggestions? Can you get just the retractable parcel shelf (tonneau)? If so, is it easy enough to fit as it is sprung?

Or is there an adhesive you'd recommend?

Any thoughts or comments welcome.

Could you post a picture so we can see what's happening?

You could buy the whole unit used on eBay etc, might be easier than trying to change just the retractable blind.

Yes, I've had a look at buying a complete replacement. 2nd had they're apprx £100. If I can find a way to 're-weld' the 2 surfaces, it will be far more cost effective.
