Combox retrofit questions

Hi, I am trying to retrofit combox onto my car. I have a 0909 build with MULF2HI and CIC but no Bluetooth. So I recently bought a combox and a wiring harness in attempt to get Bluetooth music/phone.
I have read through many threads and videos, most of them has more wires than mine. I only have 3 plugs into MULF2 currently, a 54 pin (which I have a connecting harness), a 26 pin, and a black rounded connector(I believe that’s for usb?). So when I connect the combox, there is nothing for the beige connector, which supposed to be for Bluetooth. I don’t have TCU. So I am not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated.

If you have no beige cable in car wiring , that means that you haven't Bluetooth antenna and mic with wiring and therefore Bluetooth factory option 644, you had only 6FL option.
So you need get this wiring and other parts.

Also it is my last understanding that you have to have Idrive of certain level and firmware for bluetooth music to work at all . Which seems to me like the main reason you would want a combox.
I have seen plug and play harnesses sold to do the modifications without rewiring and repining connectors.
There are a lot of threads on this if you search.

Thanks. I will try to get Bluetooth antenna, probably an aftermarket antenna and leave it in the back. It should be fine right? But I think i already have a mic in there since I can talk to the Navi.

Then you need to check where mic wire goes to.
If it goes to MULF, then you will have two shielded black wires in 54-pin connector, one for AUX and one for MIC
if there is only one such wire in blue connector, then you need to add wire between headunit and MULF/Combox to extend mic to these units

I am a bit confused about to how to check where the mic is wiring to. This is a picture of the current mulf2 connector. It has one black wire with multiple wires inside. And I bought one of these mulf to combox adapter praying it will work as intended.

so you have only aux cable routed to mulf
and you need wire similar cable from headunit to this plug
then they will be converted to combox plug

you might remove headunit also and inspect its plug to check if mic cable is there

I thought the mic is in FZD? Also if I don’t need/use voice control, can I just repin that for Bluetooth use? So I don’t need to run a new wire.

if you do not have bluetooth but have voice control then it will be wired to HU
and we checked that there is no mic wire in MULF2 connector
