2018 BMW 330i Sdrive
Good Day,
After a cold start and drove 3 or 4ft, then breaks locked the car, and 2 messages appeared. I shut off the traction control functions and the breaks opened up, now can drive forward. CC msg Chassis stabilization: Drive moderately ![]() CC msg Increased steer. effort: Drive moderately ![]() Indeed the Electric Power Steering was not helping, and the wheel is taking some elbow grease to get me around the block. I replaced and registered a new Battery, the old one was weak but didnt cause trouble on start ups. I attempted the best reset possible, I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes with the highbeams on to drain any caps, no luck, ![]() I attemped to eval codes with Ancel BM700, no luck but did find in the ICM fault , 480134 ICM: direction of travel cannot be determined So. I replaced the ABS wheel Speed sensors, no luck. There was never a problem with the odometer reading, it seemed normal. ![]() My Next thoughts are there is a relay or fuse that got wacked due to the older battery and the alternator kicking its butt. Some folks on Reddit say get the ISTA and do a service plan of something, maybe that is the way to go for a DIY, ISTA is loaded with stuff that is off topic, so I am looking for the help of someone who knows by experience what is wrong or what to do. Thanks in Advanced and I will say thanks again. GLTA |
