Service next month

Going in for my first service next month - I still have the old software as my build date was late 07 and I don't want it updated to 2.92..

How do I get out of this? Just merely say "I don't want my ECU updated, I hear there is boost lag as well as exhaust tones changing"? What have some of you been doing to get out of the software update?

And no, I don't want to do my own service.

Tell them you are going to wait for the car. The first service is basically just an oil change.
It should only take less than an hour. The progman update takes several hours.

Can I just tell them to update ECU because I have turbo lag. Will they reject?
