Hello looking for some input on upgrades for my sound system, I have the Logic 7 system in my E92 which I’m actually quite happy with but I would like to get more out of it. I’ve been looking into the Earthqueak Sws-8’s, are they a good upgrade? I like to have clear high quality bass, I’m not necessarily looking for more bass just better bass I’d say. Also what are the options for speaker upgrades? I’ve never really been able to find any. Also how would the stock amp hold up to upgrading the subs and speakers? I’ve heard mixed opinions. I believe the Amp for my system is 420 watts, I’ve heard many say the amps are not ran near their full potential but I’ve also heard that the amps cannot support upgraded speakers/subs so I don’t know which is true. I am also looking into getting the Mr12volt.

I did some research, I feel like I won't like the earthquakes due to a lack of midbass, Do you have any recommendations on upgrades for more midbass? I've been looking a bit into the Audison APBMW S8-4 as I have heard they have good sub-bass and mid-bass. Do you know anything about these? Or would I just be better off putting the stock L7 woofers on an external amp?

I have Jehnert 200xe's they have been discontinued I believe . I would look for to see if they have a follow on model.
I was very happy with these running them on JL 600/6 amp on a Hi Fi based system .
Helix or Match from Audiotech fisher or Mosconi/Gladen would be another place to look .
With the Logic 7 amp being kind of weak I don't know how much of a difference any of this will make.

The amp is definalty the weak link in BMW systems the problem is Logic 7 is hard to update with aftermarket stuff
because of 9 channels , the optic interface to the head unit and the difficulty in changing that.
Then there is Logic 7 processing itself .
The only company that makes a drop in amp that works with this system is mobridge.
Then if you upgrade the amp you need to upgrade the speaker to.
Patch jobs like a two channel amp running off the speaker outs of the underseats through a
two channel amp with maybe a true sub have been tried.
It ends up being a messy patch job.
Then there is the rip the Logic 7 amp out an reprogram to Hi Fi and add amps or amp/dsp's approach .

I think what I’m just going to do is run the stock L7 subs on a external amp, I’ve read that that makes quite a difference
