E92 seat rails not lining up? Help!

I had to take out my passenger seat to clean some water out from under the carpet of my 2008 e92 328i.

When I went to put the seat back in, the rails did not line up with the holes. It’s like one rail sits an inch to far back. I have no idea how these even happened. I took the seat out, left it in the garage, and then went to put it back in. I’ve been dealing with this for a few days and can’t fully the car back together. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

No idea sorry. With them plugged in have you pressed the button to move the seat rails all the forward or back position? Maybe that will line them up?

Yeah idk. The seat rails are locked together on both sides. There’s no possible way to sperate them through moving the seat. I’m so confused on this and so is everyone else. No one has been able to figure it out lol.

you seats are fine
you simply moved them too much to the rear to unscrew front bolts
and you incorrectly positioned the seat, you need to adjust by front openings
connect the connector to the seat, fix front bolts, move seat front, fix rear bolts

The front bolts never line up no matter what. One rail is always about an inch off the other.

again, the length of the inside and outside rails is different
and number of openings in rail is higher than openings in floor
adjust seat back and align front openings and you will have rear aligned to openings
