because Michigans economy is terrible....most people are probably trying to move away from detroit-windsor area

the local economy here is supported by the big 3 automakers which are in trouble....its common to hear on the news about layoffs and such everyday

I know exactly how you feel. I was 28 when I bought my first house when I got married in 2000. That was 3 houses ago. I am done flipping and settling in for the long haul. Great time to buy, then and especially now! Buyers market for sure!
