Get used to it unless you are going with regular tires.

Wrong section, but I might be able to help. What size tires are on your car? What brand of tire? Some models (Bridgestone EL-42) wear irregularly and cause excessive road noise. BMW is aware of this problems and depending on the mileage may provide a new set for no cost or 50% of cost.

Yes, i've seen this many times. Check with your dealer, we've been able to take some back on warranty because of bad wear. I think it's the tires problem, and i'm not sure which the bridgstone or the conte, but i know the noise, it's horrible. See if your dealer will do something. If you have low miles on the car, and the dealer can't do anything, call bmw and corporate and complain, it's a bad tire.

Mine do that. I have worn out two sets to date and at last check-only tire that fits my car (run flat)--I may get regular upon next tire purchase. ANYWAY--they always sound SO QUIET at first (first install) but end up getting "loud" after a bit. Now that I need new tires again--wow! SO LOUD! It kills me. I heard/read this is normal for RF's. I could get over it.....but what I have a hard time swallowing is that I need new tires at $1300 plus a pop every 18K???? And--not that they are really fantastic tires or anything. Sux.

I would have dumped them at my first 18K switch but no room for spare. Being a girl....scary being "stuck".

My dealer would not switch/discount mine because they said the noise/problem had to be before 12k miles or something (I was at 18K). I dont think I YELLED ENOUGH. Lesson learned. But here I am again, 18K/20 k miles later--same problem--same excessive tire wear.

But yes, they are LOUD!!!! Concept is great...product lacks expectations.
