I think I'm going to get a PC

I have light swirls and wanted to get a PC. Are these the right steps to use:
1-use a Yellow pad with PO106ff
2-use a White pad with PO106fa or Menzerna Super Intensive polish

Is this enough? Do I need a Black pad with some other product to finish off?

Than apply my sealant/wax products.

Or am I totally off here.
Thanks

106ff on a white pad should take care of minor swirling. You could use PO85 on a black/white pad after that but it isn't necessary.

If you have moderate swirling you would use SIP first, then 106ff, not the other way around like you have your steps listed.

use the least aggressive method first and see if it removed the swirls. white pad first and if it didn't remove the swirls go to orange.

How often do you guys polish your cars with a machine? I'm thinking it can't be good to do it all the time.

Thanks guys, I will let you know how it turns out. I have a couple of older cars that I can try out first so I don't ruin the BMW.

BDM, I too am in your shoes and found some really great vids on YouTube that detail the process of how to polish with the PC. I learn better when I can see how to do something rather than read it. Check it out, there's some awesome tips on there to help you when you do get the polisher. I did a search for PC 7424 and got tons of hits. If you do just a search for "polish", you'll get hits on cars from Poland, using a buffer, and other crap.
