I have a first gen iPhone and haven't had any problems... I hear a lot about the new ones having problems though.

I have a new one and have no problems at all. Well, the keyboard lag sometimes when replying to texts or emails, but I don't even get that usually. I wouldn't give up my iPhone for anything on the market if you paid me. Best phone ever, by far.

I agree mostly. It's not unarguably the best phone on the market and there are phones close to it/better. That being said, it's my favorite phone and I have no reception problems.

I was so looking forward to the Iphone 3g, I was wrong. I had to reformat the phone 4 times because the Screen keeps turning off on me when I am browsing the phone or using applications. The recent release patch 250mb that was suppose to fix some of the bugs actually crashed my phone while installing it. At the same time it corrupted my back up file. I lost everything in my phone ! I had to reformat it again that didnt work. Finally I reinstall Itune and reinstalled everything ! Now there just some minor bugs. And where I have Full 3g connection (downtown wall street in my office), my phone will decide to switch back and forth between EDGE and 3G

I guess I have the worst problem with the Iphone. Meanwhile 2 coworkers have absolutely no issue with their phone :/

I've had my iphone for a month now and with the novelty wearing off, it really isn't that great of a phone per se. The speaker on this this is garbage and since I have an ipod and more than 8gb of music I guess I dont really use it to it's full potential.

I am however really looking forward towards the HTC touch diamond with Android on it...opportunities are limitless with it being open source

That is due to the 2.0 software. Not related to the 3G iPhone as the original iPhone with the new software suffers from the laggy keyboard.

I would take the phone back and get a new one.

Well, I certainly respect anyone's opinion, and there's no right or wrong, but unless another phone has the software running on the iPhone with the App Store, OR, a similar service, or even just the ability to have so many good apps, then nothing compares right now, in my opinion. And, the iPhone does a ridiculously good job of integrating everything together, and I wouldn't give that up for any other phone on the market. Feature for feature, another phone may beat it on paper, but for overall experience, nothing comes close.

Yes, I understand that. Maybe 2.02 fixed it, but I don't feel like updating yet, at least until the newest PwnageTool comes out.
