PC polisher vs. buffer
I know the PC can be used to apply polish and wax, etc depending on the pad, but I am wondering if I should soley use the PC for all my detailing. I have a Waxmaster random orbit buffer and some other 5" buffer (both single speed) but they are those cheap $20-30 jobbers that are decent (IMHO) for putting wax on but not good enough to do a good polishing job.
My question is: Should I just use the PC for polishing AND waxing? If I get an awesome finish from the PC with polish, can I apply/remove the wax with the regular buffer(s) or will the PC make that much of a difference on the wax too? I pretty much use the MG mirror glaze line right now for wax, but want to move up to the polish (hence why I bought the PC) to make my car "pop". Thanks in advance for the help. I tried to search but it haven't seen anything regarding the cheap-o single speed buffers vs. the RO polishers and if both can/should be used. |

You can use the PC ROB for everything - polishing and applying/removing wax. The PC is a solid machine and is much better built than your $20-$30 buffer. You CAN still use the cheaper buffer for applying wax but the PC is so easy to use you might find just changing it out to a fine finishing pad for applying your wax and then a wool pad covered with a MF bonnet for removing. I just remove wax by hand though.
