Sorry but the lack of updates but yes I got her! I woke up at 0315 on Friday and I was at the port in Brunswick by 1230. It was painless at the port office. It took less than 5 mintues for me to get my car.
I took some time setting up the Nav and learning the clutch. After that I drove about 400 miles or one tank or gas to just north of ATL. I spent the next 2 days at my friends place then I drove another 800 miles home to Ft Polk LA. I needed gas so I stopped a shell station in town but they were rationing gas. I got my $40 of gas but while I was paying some old lady blocked me in. She would move so I did my best to get around her but I scraped part of the front left rim. The next day Hurricane Gustave rolled in and at 5pm I was told to pick up a soldier of mine in Shreveport. That is 170 miles away. I drove thru halk interstate and half 2 lane round. Thank for for xenon and the Ultimate Driving Machine. Only damamge I see now is a priece of weed that is embedded in some sort of mud flap. Pics later today. |
