Exactly right. shiv has mentioned many times that anything under 350 hp will yield very little gains from an intake. I believe this to be true for any intake.

Hey no offense man, I am just wondering what my car was running anyways with the afe and jb3 my dyno is scheduled for 10 am on wednesday, if anything I may just mirror your results, my only difference is that I have let the car adjust to the afe for about 2 weeks and the jb3 for about a week so who knows what will happen but it will be a contribution to a great little forum we have here, not trying to knock your efforts at all

Rather than leasing your stay at home mom wife a $70k car and wasting our time with your ignorant commentary why don't you spend $75 to go do a before and after dyno with your intake and contribute something here?
Your a prick, dont be an asshole man, a man's wife is not something to talk trash about, this guy has contributed alot to this forum, so why dont you contribute something and stfu, plus put your money where your mouth is, get a dyno

Uhh.. that link to the thread would be me..

WOW.. so you're saying that whatever I experience with whatever I invest on is nothing but bullshit?! First of all, calm down man.. this is an independent forum and each member has the right to post whatever they want, as long as it abides with the forum's rules. Do you have an AFE intake? Do you have a BMS intake? Do you even have an e90/e92 335?? Serious man.. me, as an independent individual, I'm just posting on the forum on what I honestly feel after paying good money for mods and actually experience.. if you don't respect that, then stop polluting the atmosphere of this forum and GTFO.

Since you've had it for two weeks,I realy hope you get better results . If you do , than I'll probably dyno again in a week and see what happens. Good Luck!

now, i know an intake doesnt do much on a NA engine car but in a turboed car, it gives much higher gain. whether it's 20+hp or not, im not sure until i've done my own dyno, but it def. adds alot more power to a turbo car than NA.

i'm not sure why alot of people are so skeptical about AFE yet believe BMS dual to put out the power that they claim? AFE is only been out for a month, give it a little more time and we'll all know whether it's worth it and whether it's putting down the type of power they claim.

I never said an intake won't give you horsepower, If I believed that I wouldn't have bought the GruppeM that costs five times as much as the AFE.

The reason I put the turbonator link is because of the OUTRAGEOUS claims AFE makes on their website towards gains. And after seeing the design of the intake (and member dyno results) it just shows that it's all BS to sell.

To me there is nothing special about the AFE intake, it's the most basic aftermarket intake that could be made, all AFE did was remove the OEM box and replace it with two filters that are now sucking up all the hot air inside the hood.
