Never again PS2's!!!!!!
I read about the popularity of Michelin PS2s, so I decided that I would buy them over other tires to replace my worn out RFTs that came with my car.
I am disappointed. I paid a lot to get disappointed too. ARE THEY REALLY THIS NOISY??? or will they quiet a bit? The shop where I bought them says they will not get quiet with time. They are noisier than the Potenza RFTs I replaced and they don't look as good in my opinion as the Potenzas. They do grip better than the Potenzas, and they are non- RFT so they are slightly less harsh on bumps in the road. I won't buy these tires again. I am really surprised with these tires, I expected way better. |

And yes, I am sure they would do really well on the track as the grip is excellent, but they are too expensive to wear out at the track. |

You could probably take them off and sell them for 85% of the price you paid for them, if you have little miles on them.
Then go get the General Exclaim UHP tires. Super cheap and though not as grippy as the PS2's they are equally if not more grippy than the stock runflats, but much quieter, much smoother, and look killer too. |

This is funny the way opinions go. I think the PS2s are better in every area than the Potenzas.
I think they ride better, handle better, look a ton better, and are quieter. My PS2s are wearing so evenly its great. The potenzas wore out so oddly it was awful.

The UHP's are utter crap. They have no road feel, steering response is numb. The sidewall is so soft they are all of over the place during hard cornering and can't hold a line for shit. The only good thing I can say about them is they ride smoother then runflats, hence the soft sidewall. I can't believe anyone with any performance expectations would have anything good to say about them. Never again with budget tires for me.. you get what you pay for. |

I followed a fellow member up a canyon and watched his 19s almost touch the ground since the sidewalls were rolling over so bad on his General Exclaims. He has nothing but bad reviews on them.

After I replaced my RFTs with the Mich PS2s (rears wore out @ 18k mi., fronts looked great, but I replaced all 4 tires anyway), I went with the less expensive Falken FK-452s (>$400 less / set of 4 than the Mich PS2s)...
OMG!!! I know some ppl will flame me for this, but I have to say that I think these Falkens are BETTER than the highest rated Mich PS2s; they seem to have a better dry grip (believe it or not!) and I currently have >14k mi. on my Falken FK-452s, and even the rears look like NEW!!!!!!! Anyway, I couldn't be happier with these Falkens! Anyone looking at new non-RFTs should really check out the Falken FK-452s before automatically buying Mich PS2s, GY GSDs, etc.

PS2's to me are the top of the food chain, ranked among the best for tires and performance. Hefty price tag too.

Ive had several sets of PS2s on several cars and always loved them. I dont know where the noise is coming from, the rfts and kumhos were like rolling on stone wheels that barney rubble would have used.

I am gathering pennies for a new set of wheels and tires, I have narrowed my options to PS2's and FK 452's, it looks like I can't go wrong either way. I started thinking about the General Exclaim, but after reading a couple of reviews I decided that that was something I did not want to experience. I need tires that can handle Autobahn speeds, I drive between 130 and 155 mph for long periods and need a tire that can handle the abuse.
