Possibly Heading Westbound...

Hello West-Coasters!! I just wanted to pop over on this section to say Hi. My name is Josh, and I am a very active member in the Tri-State NY/NJ/PA/CT section. I was offered a job position out in San Diego yesterday, and am highly considering taking it. I am a freelance Recording Engineer, and have been floating mostly around in NY/NJ/CT at a bunch of different recording studios doing work, but, was offered a position at a new studio in SoCal working directly with a pretty huge hip hop/r&b/pop music producer. It is all still up in the air right now, and I wouldnt make a move for a few months still, but, just figured I would say Hi and introduce myself, since I may be a new addition to your crew!!! I hope this message finds all of you well, and Im looking forward to meeting some of you Californians!!!

8 hours from LA, which is 3 hours north of SD. You are looking at 11 hours to get to mammoth from SD.

But, I would say SD is the greatest place in Socal, which is the greatest place on earth for living. Do it.

Google maps claims 7 hours from my house in San Diego to Mammoth Mountain. Maybe add another hour for extra traffic. I'm a little North of MCAS Miramar.
Wow, that's longer than a trip to Vegas!

And San Diego is quite awesome. Active BMW community as well.

Damn I guess my friend drove like a tortoise when we went there last. It took us 8 hours from LA.
